From setting ticket prices to scanning guests at the gate: a practical walkthrough for house parties, club nights and concerts.

Selling tickets online does three things for a host: you know how many people are coming, you collect money before the day instead of at the gate, and you keep out people who weren't invited. Here's how to do it well.
Start with how many people your venue can actually hold, then set your ticket capacity a little under that. Leave room for your crew, vendors and the friends you'll let in anyway.
Two or three ticket types are enough for most parties, for example Regular, VIP and Table. Each one needs a name, a price in Naira and a number available.
Use a clear flyer, the exact date and start time, and the area. If you'd rather not publish the address, you can keep the exact spot hidden until someone has a ticket. Choose whether the party is public (listed for anyone to find) or link only (people need your link).
Most guests buy on their phone, straight from WhatsApp or Instagram. On FunConnect they don't need an account: they enter their name, email and phone, pay by card, bank transfer or USSD, and get a QR ticket by email. Someone buying for a group can share a link so each friend gets their own ticket.
Give your door team the scanner link and PIN in advance and test it with one ticket. Each QR code works once, so screenshots passed around won't get extra people in. Have someone ready to look up guests by name for anyone whose phone has died.
On FunConnect, creating the party is free and 5% of each sale is taken from your earnings, so your guests pay only the price you set. Ticket money is ready to withdraw as soon as tickets sell, to a bank account in your own name.
