How do I book a DJ, MC or other event vendor on FunConnect?
Find the specialist on funconnect.app/search, open their profile and tap "Book Now". Pick the date, describe the event and what you need, set your offer (at least their starting price) and tap "Send offer". The money comes from your FunConnect wallet and is held safely in escrow until the job is done. You need a free account.
Step by step
Sign up or log in at funconnect.app as a host.
Search at funconnect.app/search. Filter by Category (DJ, MC, caterer, photographer and more), State and Area, Starting price, and Anyone or Agencies & teams.
Open a profile to see their packages, past events, reviews and starting rate. Tap "Message" if you want to ask something first.
Tap "Book Now", pick a date (and a time if they offer set times), then tap "Continue to booking".
Event step: enter the Event name, Type of event, Date and Venue / area. Start time, Guests and a map pin are optional.
Brief & price step: write "What do you need?" ("Write with AI" can draft it) and enter "Your offer (₦)". It can't be below their starting price. If the job needs materials (for example food), you can add a materials advance.
Review the summary and tap "Send offer". If your wallet doesn't have enough, you'll be asked to top it up first.
The specialist accepts or declines. When they accept, your money moves into escrow and the booking is confirmed on the contract page.
What it costs you
You pay the price you agree, with no booking fee on top. The only charge is 5% when you add money to your wallet, shown before you pay. FunConnect's 6.9% fee comes out of the specialist's payout.
If they decline or don't answer
If the specialist declines, the money goes straight back to your wallet. Before they accept, you can also withdraw the offer from the contract's More menu.
Good to know
The date filter in search doesn't check their calendar. Message the specialist to confirm they're free before you book.
Keep all payments on FunConnect. Money paid outside the app isn't protected by escrow.
